hi peeps, i'm STILL alive and kicking.........if it's not because junie kept pestering all seafoodies to blog, think i will not even return back to blogging.......haha.....even crab was "forced" to update hers.......if we dont, junie will refuse to send us anymore pics.....

it's been long since i blogged...so long that i even forgot my password and I have to spend some time trying my luck typing in different passwords but i still couldnt get in....so in the end, i have to click that little "forget your password" button to retrieve it....

anyway, it's my 5th month into the job....working life is so monotonous.....wake up, go work, eat, go home, do some work and sleep.......am always complaining that time is too short for me, i'm always rushing for time.....but i still manage to dig some time to go drinking, kickboxing and shopping every week, to make my life easier....haha.....i still hate the life of waking up early...but hey, i'm looking forward to my pay day every month....and looking forward to any public holidays for me to snuggle up on bed longer.....and right now, i'm looking forward for my little trip coming 2 weeks later....took some day off for a short vacation....i really really need that.....BADLY.....

okay, enough of the above......

it was squiddy's birthday on Friday.......and seafoodies celebrated with her at zouk.....

it was supposed to be dinner with squiddy and crabby before heading to zouk, but in the end they couldnt make it...so i had to have dinner with brian.....lucky i have him, cause i didnt want to head home and come out again.....

the time to meet was 1030pm........squiddy, prawny, crabby and i reached first...clammy was still at home when we called her at 1030........she's waiting for her friend to come pick her up.....

we spent quite some time waiting for her........she was super late....only reaching at 1130.....haha....

so we went phuture...it was bloody crowded....we have to squeeze our way through to find squiddy's friends...

we switched over to zouk for awhile coz clam has friends there.....and clam bought us apple shooters to toast to squiddy.....

she said today is an exciting day.....

and of course it is.....cause we are going her place to bbq....

it's quite a big gathering today as our significance others are joining us as well.....

rachel and shengyang is the first couple to arrive....smelly and i reached 1 hour after our 'supposed' meeting time cause we couldnt find her place........sembawang is such an ulu area that smelly lost his way.......

but we are not the latest......

leoie, diane, elyn and june came after us.....

by the time we reached, jack has started the fire.....just in time for us to start bbq-ing.....

june : dunkin donuts and pressies (not food) from her sudden surprise short trip to thailand, consiting of fake eyelashes, small clutch and headband

i have heard so much raves from so many people about how nice this donut is.....apparently, it's from the US and happens to be available in sydney too.....shengyang bought some back for us to try....each donut is not so cheap either.....

we finally have a chance to taste how good the donut is.....

and look who's happy..!! oooohhhh.......and check out her hair....

our guys are the ones who stand and bqq most of the time, while the girls are happily chit chatting at the side, and taking photos...

diane and leoie are the only odd one.....diane does the bbq-ing (cause she loves cooking) most of the time, and leoie will just walk around and eat....

he is also busy entertaining a poor uncle who came to ask for some food and drinks......

it's supposed to be a one-week break from school this week.......but we had to go back to school to attend a seminar, for the sake of writing a report after that...

the seminar isnt free anyway, had to pay $5 for it.....

we formed into groupst.....the seafoodies and a shy couple from our lecture class.....

we were given questions and had to write them down to present to the class, and i started to draw seafoodies on it....

and i drew stickman of the couple as well.....

the guy took the paper over and modified the drawing himself...

simulation exercise

we had a simulation interview in school today....the rmit lecturers made all of us wear formal which is something i really hate....was contemplating whether to go anot, but i still went in the end cause it's quite important as we had to write a report on the exercise after that....

the interview exercise goes like this.....the lecturers will randomly allocate students into groups of 6....there will be a main interviewer, 2 assistant interviewers, 1 verbal oberserver, 1 non-verbal oberserver and 1 interviewee.....so the interviewee has to pretend as though she/he is applying for a job and the interviewers will ask him/her questions, while the verbal and non-verbal oberservers will sit beside and observe the person's behaviour....we will then rotate among the different roles....i was the first to be interviewed....quite nervous but it's quite fun overall....

after the exercise's over, we went back class where the rmit lecturers gave us a debrief and lecture finished half an hour earlier.....so we stayed back and took photos....

cause we were both in black and it looked as though our bodies are joined when we take photos

smelly and i went over to stella's place...cause the girls arranged for short mahjong session and asked me to join.....so i brought smelly there as well...

it has been ages since i went over......think the last time was 3 years ago already...

smelly and i spent some time looking for her block...i couldnt even remember how it looks like anymore...

when we got to stella's place, we were welcomed by rico, a jack russell terrier....

his barks are real loud....so stella muzzled him to prevent us from being afraid...

joey said rico looks more like a terrorist...but i find he's more of a pervert....cause he kept grabbing mine and joey's legs and tried to be funny.... (stella, dont get angry that i bad-mouthed your dog.....im just kidding !!...haha)

rico has been stella's baby for about 3 years already....come to think of it, rico would be my dog if i were to buy him last time...cause there was one period i was actually searching for a dog...stella's sister's friend who has a jack russell gave birth and wanted to sell the babies away so she forwarded me a photo of baby rico to see if i wanna get it.....i didnt get it in the end but stella fall in love with him and bought it instead....

anyway, we played our game and was constantly being distracted....stella unmuzzled him and he went running around, licking our legs (smelly's as well) .....stella would scold him and nic (stella's bf) who was there too had to beat him and all.....and we all ended up watching the dog instead...so stella had to muzzled him again....

and the funny thing is that when rico is being muzzled, it seemed that he turned himself into a cat....his actions really made him look like a cat cause he would be so restless, so lazy....just like how a cat behaves....it's so different from the way he behaved when he doesnt have the muzzle on.....

it's weird in a way but still cute la.....seeing how rico has some sort of a spilt personality...haha....

i will be uploading some makeover photos...my sis previously asked me to help her as her makeup school requests them to have a photoshoot portfolio before completing the whole course...

pls dun laugh !!! ....haha....cause i find it doesnt look like the usual me at all...but then, it wouldnt be called a makeover for nothing right....

my sis did 3 different fashion shots....hair and makeup done by her....

im eagerly waiting for the postman's arrival....cause my victoria secret body lotions will be coming today......

it was in a super big box....

two bottles belong to rachel....now we can smell like candy.... =)

after that in the noon, junie, rachel and i met up at suntec, mainly to accompany junie to shop for a digicam and at the same time collect our cheques from wbg....fyi, we have stopped working for about a week already cause they decided to start on new projects and so they dont need us anymore....

june arrived first so she headed up to the office to collect.....i received calls from junie while on my way and she sounded quite pissed cause no one was in the office so that means we couldnt collect it.....we made a few phone calls to the other person-in-charge....and the angry news was that no one would not be able to head back to the office....junie was fuming and decided that instead of having us waste our time making extra trip down, she asked them to help us deposit into quick cheques...clever idea, junie....

okay.........nevermind about that....

anyway, we proceeded to harvey norman, spent like ages looking and trying at different cams.....oh, someone is buying the cam for her, but she die die also wont reveal who.....hmph....i also want a cam!!!!!....who wanna sponsor me? .....hahaha.......i'm only kidding.....

we finally filtered out 2 potential ones....either sony t30 or olympus 700....but she didnt get it on the spot cause she said her friend might be able to get it cheaper for her....

so after all the cams-shopping, junie suddenly thought of bringing us to this japanese restaurant at marina square...the purpose is to try their sea urchins.....

i was quite taken aback initially....cause i didnt know sea urchins can actually be eaten....

and the menu explains that the parts which can be eaten are the testes and ovary....sounds kinda yucky.....

junie was contemplating whether to order one plate of 2 sea urchins sushi ($8.80) or the other one which will cost $28 for 4 big sea urchins....we were so lucky we didnt choose the latter....me and rachel tried abit....it tastes kinda eeky and has a very raw taste........so junie was the only one finished up the urchins sushi...

we also ordered other dishes....seafood curry noodles and tuna rice...the tuna rich recommended by junie was yummylicious....

so after the meal, junie had to leave to go meet sorina and meina....we accompanied her to wait for a cab...

i asked junie to lend me her betsy johnson bag....cause i was wearing betsy johnson top too...

her bag cost like $300 odds okay.....while my top is only....$30 odd.....i can buy 10 betsy johnson tops with the $300.....

we walked to the taxistand and were cam whoring while making our way there.....junie was complaining she doesnt look good in this batch of photos....and she doesnt want her photos to appear on blogs...

so i did this.....

see junie, i can put group photo but at the same time....make your face blurred so no one can see ya....but that means rachel's face have to be blurred too.....good right.....haha....

but of course i dont have to do that....cause junie still look pretty no matter what.... =)

before i make my way towards 21, many had told me that time will zoooooommmm pass in a flash from the time u start turning 21.....

i never thought what they said can be so true....

im already starting to hear the word 'marriage' .........friends around me are planning to get married, while some are already being binded by the vows (some are shot-gun marriages) ....

just dont know why....hearing such stuff actually scares me a little.....for god's sake, im only 22.........but i guess all these are part of growing up....

im not saying that marriages are a bad thing.....though it really makes me wonder if they are really in love to be getting married at such young age.....in fact, most of them are just below 25......

the truth is when i was much younger, i had that kind of thoughts as well.....to find someone i really love, get married, have children, marry young and live happily ever after....i was only 19 or 20 then....sounds like a perfect fairy tale out of the books ya....but then, i have come to believe that age does play a part in moulding one's mentality.....though i know it's part and parcel of one's course of life....but marriages to me now do not seem as important anymore.....

however, on the other hand.....it's always hard to determine cause things might change......and who knows, it might change my mind too....haha....

Junie arranged potluck session at her place...again...actually she invited us to her place cause she wants to let us try the Croquembouche from The Patisser..

come to think of it, we had like 3 potlucks within a year already....

each of us including rachel brought food....clammy had something on so she couldnt make it....

I brought tuna sandwiches made by myself.....rachel brought fried rice (which we think it's very nice) ....elyn bought bubble tea...and June bought Croquembouche from The Patisser....Lea who came much later also got maltesers and hazelnut cupcake from Marmalade Pantry...

apart from what we had.....june also bought 2 single pieces of cakes.....i love the one on the left....yummy...!!

and june's mother scooped out 2 bowls of abalone porridge for us.....cooked by herself....!! her mother is so bad, always like to bring food out to tempt me even though im too full to squeeze in more....hmph....

anyway the porridge is super super duper nice can....you can see big chunks of abalones, dried oysters, scallops and minced meat....thumbs up...

elyn and june dont like abalone...so we scooped away all the abalones from their bowls.....haha

while eating, the girls took my oversize sunnies to pose with it....

smelly came and joined us as well after his work...

jewel is so excited to see her "lover".......

after we had 1 round of mahjong session, lea and jack came.....and it was time to bring out the Croquembouche....

the cake is actually made up of about 50 puffs.....includes 3 flavours....strawberry, vanilla and chocolate....the fun about eating this cake is that you wont be able to know what flavour you will get until you put it into your mouth....

after that, we had another round of mahjong together with jack.....june was the biggest winner...she won about $30 odd.....

Prawny's Bday Celebration

Today we (seafoodies + rachel) gonna celebrate Prawny's belated birthday....

We have decided to go to the porridge steamboat buffet which my dad recommended....

But before meeting up with the girlies, it was work as usual........

i'm beginning to get bored with my job....so routine and mundane....

Because it was so boring, Rachel and I werent really working today.....we talked, walked around, took photos, played with Summer's baby boy....basically, we were slacking the whole day....

the baby boy so cute can...wonder why do all babies look almost the same....

Rachel gave me her shawl and tied it around my neck...she said she wanna create a winter look... -_-" .....that's how bored we were....doing silly things...

she was also complaining about her feet the whole day....cause she was wearing new heels...

see la.... ai mei bu yao ming .... she almost used up all of my plasters....she got 5 toes bandaged out of 10....so funny.......i was wearing new heels as well, but my blisters were not so bad......girls.....will do anything to be pretty....

we couldnt stand staying at the office anymore so we left slightly earlier...

we took a cab down to Liang Seah Street to meet the girls for dinner...June was the first to reach.....and she even took a bus down...so unlike her....she really shocked everyone...haha...

Like i said earlier, dinner was at this porridge steamboat buffet...

we realized all of the raw seafood are present as well......

anyway, this steamboat is different from the usual one cause it's not soup-based, but porridge-based...

after putting all the raw food in, our porridge turned out quite disgustingly...

Lea said it looked like some algae...i think it looks like water from drains....it turend out like dat cause of the raw bloody food (beef and liver) we put in....even though the porridge looks so turn-off, the taste of it is not too bad actually.....we didnt finished the whole pot of porridge.....too disgusting and full to do so....

after dinner, we took a bus down to Boat Quay...cause we also arranged to go

we were doing the "Ha......." thing to make smoke out of our mouths

haha...diane looked like she's singing and lea looked like she wanna eat something

while the both of them looked shocked to me...

we ordered gin tonic and played games....and were laughing our asses off.....

June and Lea were so bad, they played a 'bang bang, who die?' game and refused to tell me the answer to the trick...

But its ok, cause i asked Smelly about it......u two are not gonna trick me anymore next time....muhahaha....

we stayed for quite sometime before diane got too frozen and we decided to leave.....

Rachel hailed a cab home....Leoie who came to pick diane home also fetched the remaining girls to East Coast...Lea is meeting her Jack there...

was so damn afraid that i might fail any modules....and the girls know how anxious i was, cause i kept calling smelly to help me check....

in the end smelly called back and told me i scored 1 high distinction and 3 distinctions....phew!!

now i will have to rush for a 1000 words essay due next monday....RMIT freaking gave us essay to do during the holidays..... &^@$*%%#

smelly and I went over to Germaine's house...wanting to see baby crisanta...

she's already 5 months old....she has learnt how to turn herself on bed and is also beginning to make noises...

babies grow so fast....she grew so much bigger since the last time i saw her 4 months back....

Germaine cut her hair off as well....so she's botak.....haha...but still looks so cute....

Smelly carried her.....trying to make her stand up.....

Baby Cris soon felt tired soon after we played with her and all......Germaine was telling us that before baby Cris makes herself sleeps, she will try to look for her thumb first.....when she couldnt find it, she will starts to cry.......Smelly and I stood beside looking at her, she cried and was searching for her thumb for like 10 minutes....and she immediately stopped crying when she finally found her thumb to suck on it.........so funny...

or either, she will kept on rubbing her eyes and nose to indicate she wanna sleeps.....i burst out laughing cause she looks so cute doing that....

rachel woke me up from my sleep, called me at 7am plus in the morning......so damn early la.....she asked me to meet her earlier so we can go have our brunch first before heading to office....

we decided to have our meal at this newly opened HK cha chan ting near citylink.....

we ordered soup noodles and fried rice in macau style.....the restaurant's ambience is nice, but food is not very fantastic in my opinion.....i prefer the food served at Central...

i called June in the midst of our meal to check if she's awake....we guessed that she must be sleeping still and we were right...she's still sleeping at 1115!!!! ....and that means that she's gonna be late....

we made our way to office, reaching late as well cause we were taking our own sweet time....luckily Summer wasnt in her room as she was having a meeting so she didnt know we were late....

there's was nothing to do so we were just hanging around in the office when June called and said she forgot to bring her wallet and have no money to pay for cab fare.....both of us went down to help her pay for it....

when all 3 of us went back to the office, Summer was still in the meeting.....June felt quite relieved cause Summer wont know that she's terribly late...haha...

1st Day @ WBG

WBG stands for World Business Group......a place in Suntec where June, Rachel and myself are going to work for this holiday...but before we get started on our job, we had to attend 2 days of training for today and tomorrow from 12pm-6pm....

Rachel and I agreed to meet up at the mrt station first, knowing that June will confirm plus chop take a cab down...we slowly took our time, making our way to Tower 2 and admiring at the window displays at the same time...it didnt feel like we are going to work...it felt like we were out for some shopping....but it felt great...haha.......

the good side about working in Suntec (rather than Raffles place) is that shopping can take place anytime....before work, during lunch break and after work....but the bad side is, it can make you spend all your moolah.....im beginning to fear that all my earned money will be spent on food.....Rachel said I must be crazy cause while our way to work, I kept telling her I wanna eat this this that that....i wanna eat yami yoghurt, kuishin-bo, drink starbucks, pasta etc etc...just gimme food and i will EAt tHeM ALL.......

anyway, we finally made our way to Tower 2 despite much distractions, just in time to meet June as well...

we were first introduced to this lady, Summer, who will be in charge of us....she used to be June's ex-tutor....quite an easy-going funny person.....and she has great figure even though after giving birth to a son.....

she gave us talks about their company and the products they are offering.....so basically, they are a MLM (multi-level marketing) company, offering health supplements that can improve a person's youth, to feel and look younger....of course we wont have to do any direct selling....we only have to call up their customers, update their personal infos and other admin stuff.....sounds kinda simple ya?

Summer also gave us some of the products to sample them....

this is the HunzaSlim....blocking fats and allowing one to slim down..

and this product, Vitaplus, is the one which amazed me...cause it is said that eating these pills wont make one hungry....Summer said she has tried it herself and she went food-less for a month....i tried it, but i still feel hungry after that...

apart from pills and all, they also have products to make one sleeps well.....

the bedpad and comforter.....and Summer allowed us to rest on the bed for awhile......it was so comfy till 3 of us dont wanna get up.....

after 3 hours of talk, we went for lunch....

we had Carl's Jr.....rachel and I shared a superstar burger while June had a mushroom burger....

we went back after lunch for more training.....this time by a 19 years old guy Nicholas...

even though he's young, he has a very very matured mind....but his talk was very boring....all of us almost fall asleep......haha.....

when everything ended, a video was shown before we can leave....while waiting for the video to be played...3 of us cam whored....as usual...

To all who love and care for me, I'm ALRIGHT now....It's just a little hiccup between me and my boy....but no worries, we are happy and fine now....thankyouandloveallofyou...

I was terribly bored at home today so I went to meet up with June and Rachel in town....June had to do her shopping for her.....*ahem* HOT date *ahem*......she's so excited for her coming date that it made her bought like 5 tops at one shot...haha.....

I met the both of them at Food Republic as they were grabbing their lunch....June asked me if I wanna join them for a makeover that they are going later....and it's FREE....I tell you, June always has tonnes and tonnes and tonnes of vouchers to enjoy free buffet, free cakes, free coffee, free makeovers, free this, free that......and she is always so sweet and selfless cause her friends get to enjoy it as well......that's why everybody loves Junie.......not because she always give free things of course.....but for being who she is... =)

Okay, I digressed a little....

Anyway, the makeover studio is located at Stamford House, called Coverlooks....

As I wasnt prepared for the makeover, I requested to change my outfit and the assistant gave me a halter....

it made me looked like a greeny bunny....but the top was quite cute, so I didnt mind....and it goes with my skirt...

we proceeded to have our makeup done....

June and me were kinda pissed with our makeup artist cause she gave a very bad attitude....her makeup skill was lousy as well.....she didnt help June to put mascara and she didnt draw my eyebrows....

in the end, June couldnt tahan and she went on to put her own lashes....

They didnt really do our hair as well cause it's free you see.......

Rachel went in to have her shots taken, followed by June....The photographer was very funny...he made the two of them laughed so loud.....

I was the last to go so the photographer allowed the both of them to come in and look....we werent allowed to take our own pics while in the room, but June secretly took some when I was having my photo-taking...

So in all, we were allowed to have 4 different poses and out of about 20 shots they took, we can only get back 2 photos and they would be the one choosing it, not us....think they would purposely choose those ugly one to make us buy the additional photos...each for about $38, but ONLY with a minimum purchase of $80.....we get to see our own shots and I quite like how mine turned out...our photos could be collected 2 weeks later...hopefully they wont choose those really ugly ones for us...

After we were done with everything, June was contemplating whether to go dye her hair for her HOT date....yup, that's how excited she is....haha...me and Rachel finally managed to convince her to go dye her hair and get her preparations done all in one day, while I made my way to my boy's place for dinner and Rachel went home.....

I headed down to Bugis to meet Rachel first....But she was late, so I met up with Smelly who just finished his work as well....he accompanied me while waiting for Rachel to come...

After Rachel came, Smelly went back home and we girls walked around, waiting for Brian to come....the both of us were contempleting whether to have dinner at V8 cafe or Seoul Garden....we chose Seoul Garden in the end for the fun of it actually, cause its been 7 years since we last had it....still remember how Seoul Garden was one of the top places where secondary school students love to go...

And we were surprised by their range of food....it's quite different from what we had when we used to patronize during school days.....apart from the usual uncooked veges and meat...they had also added cooked food like sushi, satays, spaghetti etc.......price isnt cheap as well...$22/pax

Rachel and I went to Chinatown after school....our purpose is to get our DIY necklace...

Elyn joined us for awhile....she helped Rachel choose her charms for her necklace...I didnt get my necklace but got Mavala instead...realized my eyelashes has been dropping and heard from Elyn that Mavala can help to give lashes more strength, length and volume....hope it helps, or else my eyes gonna turn botak without lashes...

Elyn left shortly later to head for work....Rachel and me continued to walk around chinatown...She said she kept wanting to try the desserts at Jing Jing with Shengyang but never get a chance to...so we decided to go over to have desserts...

We had the famous mango coconut and kiwi sorbet...

I like the kiwi sorbet...it's sweet with a tinge of sour taste...

I was late again...for school...

Its the holiday but yet we were informed to go back to school today and tomorrow for a briefing on DPP2 project for next sem (sorta like final year project)

I was so late to the extend that one of the officers in SIM had to call me and ask me to get to school...I also received a message from Diane saying that the briefing will be graded 20% of the overall project result....I dont understand how by attending a briefing will earn us 20% but it sure freaked me out....

I rushed to school and was told to report to this particular Australian lecturer from RMIT.....it was then I realized that today's agenda isnt just as simple as a normal briefing....I saw lecture mates splitting up into 4 big groups...

So basically what was going on was that these 4 groups were separated into different rooms and were acting as individual companies.....under each company, we were also splitted up into 3 different divisions....each individual divisions will be faced with its own problems and what divisions members have to do is to come out with solutions.....in another word, it's like a simulation exercise, operating like a real working company.....like this...

Because I was late, I was allocated to the consultant group which is an external party (all late-comers got pushed to be consultants...even june too, she was later than me...haha) As consultants, we have to gather all the division problems and discuss to come out with solutions...The president will then be the one who will agree/disagree with our proposed solutions.....

Well, actually the simulation exercise was quite fun...but too bad I arrived late cause I find being in the divisions will be much better than being a consultant...hee...

Birthday Celebration

Seafoodies and Rachel arranged to meet up today for lunch at Suntec Conventional hall to celebrate my coming birthday this Sunday...

Elyn called while I was slowly making my way to Suntec and complained that I was being late again...haha....

Anyway, we had porridge buffet lunch and it was freaking cheap, $9.80 per pax only...

Great range of food...

After lunch,we were contemplating to go for movies or to chill out after lunch...

In the end, I decided to go chill out instead because seafoodies said that being the birthday girl, I could get to be the boss and go anywhere I want...muahaha...

We took group pics as well, which has already become a "MUST-DO" activity whenever we come out....

The girls are so mean...they made me guess my birthday pressie, dropping hints which made me so ridiculously confused..and when they asked me to observe what they have in common, I realized they actually bought me a full pedicure and manicure session with Cyndi...so sweeeeeeeeet.....thank you girls...muacks...

Afterwards, we headed to Coffee Club at Marine Square to chill out...and we ordered one whole table of cakes and drinks...

The sight of so many cakes made us so excited.. (i know, this statement sounds kinda bombotic...)

They sang me birthday song and Elyn said I was blushing...cause I was so paiseh (embarrassed) la.....The Westerners sitting 2 tables away from us waved at me and wish me happy birthday as well.....so nice of them...

Actually the project requires him to shoot the couple semi-naked...Of course Smelly and I have to reject (sorry Dewei)... but he said he will just shoot us fully clothed so he could show his lecturer first..

Today is sports day...

We played so many sports in a day together with Smelly and our friends...

For the guys, they played 3...

Soccer in the morning (together with other Chi-Ching mates), badminton in the noon and squash during the evening...

For the girls, we had 2.....badminton and squash...

Worse of all, Smelly and Kerong didnt get any sleep for 40 hours...

Lecture was supposed to be at 930am..but as always, I wouldnt wake up in time to go for class..

I replied her that I didnt go for class, and Prawny said she actually bought flowers for all of us...

She's such a sweetie...

So I told her that I would collect from her after my tuition since she would be in town as well...

But the flowers looked as though they are tired and dying...I told Prawny that I would go back and nurse them...

As Smelly will be busy busy busy tomorrow, we pushed forward and celebrated our V.day today...

Dinner was at Outback Steakhouse, one of my favourite eating place...

And we ordered...

Because we spent above $60 and paid with UOB card, we got to choose a dessert for free....

The dessert was good....hot brownies with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream..

Well, it was Crabby's birthday on the 7th...

So we organised a lunch cum bday celebration for her...

Diane didnt turned up cause she's having gastric.. (hope you are feeling better now ya..)

Elyn and I had morning lectures ( june also have one lor...but her Zzzz worm dont let her wake up)... So we headed down to Suntec for meet June and Lea after lecture...

We were supposed to meet at 130... but June and Lea's late bugs hit them to arrive at 215pm...

While waiting, Elyn and I walked around Suntec and Marina Square till we were so drained and hungry...

Our lunch was supposed to be at Kushinbo...but because the buffet will end at 3pm, we thought it was a little not worth to rush for the buffet with only 45 minutes left...

So, we headed down to Kenny Rogers...

And ordered two combos...

Lunch was funny...the girls had their ways of trying to ask me about some personal questions...I was so damn blur when they first tried to ask and I felt kinda embarrassed cause the question really popped out of nowhere sia....hee...

After lunch, all of us went up to Eng Wah cause June and Lea wanna watch movie...Elyn and I didnt join them cause Elyn had tummyache and Im meeting Smelly...

While waiting for them to get their tickets, Elyn and I saw this scary movie poster and thought of asking June to watch it (she's scared of scary movies)...

It's mahjong mahjong time at Joey's place...

Havent been playing with them for a very long time...I think the last time we played together was in poly Year 2, which was like freaking 4 years ago...Back then, stella jiayan and me were like newbies while Joey was the better player and complained we were very slow...but I guess everyone had been playing all this while so we aren't that slow anymore...hee...

Anyway, mahjong today was fantastic...I mean, hanging around with the girls are really fun...

We came up with 2 tongs (2 balls) to be known as "neh neh" (nipples) and 9 tongs to be known as dogs' nipples... haha....

I know....we made some dirty jokes...oops...

The real joke came when Joey thought that a dog's nipples are lined in such a way that it has 3 rows with 3 nipples for each row... we cant stop laughing and corrected her that a dog's nipples are lined in 2 rows with 4 nipples for each...Stella said her 9-nippled dog must be an alien... hahahaha....

Happy Chinese New Year to all...

It's the festive season for children and unmarried adults to be happy about as $$$ will be flowing in at this time of the year...

For CNY Day 2, relatives from my paternal side came over to my place in the afternoon...followed by reunion dinner as well...

This year, they chose to cook rather than eating at a restaurant....

Seafoodies made plans to have mahjong session after our lecture at June's place...The main purpose is to coach Lea and Rachel how to play it..

June will be their mahjong teacher for a day...

After lecture, the four of us (June, Rachel, Elyn & me) took a cab down to her place...Lea will be joining us after seeing the doctor and Diane had something on so she couldnt make it...

CNY Shopping at Chinatown

I had tuition in the afternoon and was contemplating whether to go school to attend the evening lecture cause I was pretty lazy to travel from Orchard all the way to Clementi, and for another reason that the lecture is gonna end at 10pm...I finally convinced myself not to go...

In the end, I met up with Smelly at Outram MRT cause we wanna go Chinatown for CNY shopping...

The crowd was terrible...I almost fainted cause it was so squeezy and stuffy...

We decided to have our dinner and we saw this pig organs soup stall with very long queue...we reckoned that given its queue, it should be nice...being the typical singaporeans, we joined in the queue as well...

It's really quite nice....the soup is good...

After dinner, we went on to search for this dessert house which my dad had recommended...it was also featured in last night's channel 8 food show "Yummy yummy king"...

It's located at Temple Street and the dessert house is called "Jing Jing Dessert House"...

They have 103 desserts to choose from...

We ordered Mango with coconut ice....my dad told us that we must try it...

The place was blardy crowded and we waited for 45 minute for our dessert to be served...

Smelly almost fall asleep....but it was worth it cause the dessert is damn good...

We continued walking around and came across this stall....

What surprised us was that the stallowner (a austrian guy) wore chinese costumes and he's selling sausages....

We ordered one...

It costs us $3.50 for one small sausage.....we felt that we got "tock"...

We also bought grilled cuttlefish and wasabi-flavoured cuttlefish from this stall...

They have so many different flavours of cuttlefish to choose from...

Apart from that, we also came across...

MAHJONG stall....

How can CNY be fun without mahjong games right? *ahem June ahem*

All the walking and eating left us with aching legs....

Over all these time, he had done his part and proved himself to me otherwise...

Good Bye to Year 2005

It is....the last day of Year 2005.....

A flashback on Year 2005 has a fair share of good times as well as bad times...

Experienced not only setbacks and heartbreaks....but also happiness and joys...

I realized it doesnt matter how hard you fall, how much you cry and how pain your heart aches...what matters most is how you pull yourself up, overcome it and move on....

For that, I had learnt it the hard way in terms of relationship...

But...time has been a great help....I overcome it and became a stronger person than before...

Not only that, I had also learnt that...

(1) Though all of us always say that good friends are the ones who will stick with you through good and bad times...even though you made mistakes and did wrong, they will still be the people who will stand with you because everyone believes that's what friends are for....But I realized that it's not always true..."Good" friends whom I supposedly treated them as did not stand with me though I admit I did made mistakes...Instead, they chose to get themselves away....As much as how disppointed you all are towards me....I'm terribly disappointed with you girls as well....

(2) If you set your mind in doing something, you can do it with self-determination...

(3) Time can heal your heartbreak and it can change people...

(4) The sun will still shines after it rains....

(5) Couples who used to be deeply in love and vowed to be together forever can still leave each other at one point of time...

(6) People leave and enter into your life...

(7) The grass is always greener on the other side of the pasture...

Whatever it is....the past is over and I shouldnt harp too much about it.....my chapter of Year 2005 will be closed soon....

Though I hate it that time flies so quickly (coz it means im getting older), I'm still glad that another book will soon be opened to start new chapter of Year 2006...

As for now...I'm happy and contented with how I am and what I have now....

Anyway, I would like to wish everyone a very Happy New Year...May all of you have a great year ahead...

My fellow seafoodies and I were supposed to go for post-christmas dinner together...but we changed our minds and decided to have a Christmas potluck session at Prawny's place instead...

Crabby also gave me my pressies she bought when she went Hong Kong during the holidays

Clamy needed to leave early for work...but before she leaves, we definitely hafta take our usual group photos...

After Clamy left, the rest of us sat around and talked...I was waiting for Desmond to come pick me up...

Prawny let her Jewel out of the cage...and the first thing she did was to go around and terrorize all of us...

The second time she pee-ed was when my sis was playing with her chasing around the house...she got scared and pee-ed at the entrance to my room....

Though I should be the one cleaning up, but it turned out that my mom was the one carrying the mop around...haha...

But no worries, cause I can see my mom likes Jewel too...

And Jewel has been very playful towards my mom...she purposely sat her butt on the cushion when my mom had warned her not to do so...she did that twice and my mom ended up laughing instead of being angry...

So Jewel's mummy, please be assure that your Jewel is being well-taken care of and well-liked by everyone in the house...

She will be delivered back to your place tomorrow afternoon...

I received a message in the morning at 11am...

It says...."Ahem, I'm pleased to announce the arrival of my baby princess Crisanta at 1022am, weighing 3.025kg...."

The baby's dad sent me this message and it got me so excited...

I went over to visit the mother (my cousin Germaine) and the newborn baby at Thomson Medical Center...

Oh my god....she's uber cute and her eyes are BIG given that she's only a day old...and cousin Germaine was so relieved that Crisanta has double eyelid...haha

And it was so interesting just looking at her hicupping, sneezing, yawning, sleeping, crying...

I havent been really updating my blog...That's because I have been really really lazy to do so...

Anyway, I met up with Samantha to get my victoria secret top...she helped to collect it from the spree organiser...

I know the food doesnt look very appealing....and in fact, both sucks....I think Brian felt like puking cause I find that the lamb is really disgusting...

And they call that chef's recommendation? *shrugs and ponders*

Not only that, their service sucks too...it took them a whole 45 mins to serve us our food...it's not that the place is crowded.....but I guess they are just slow...

Overall, dinner was really terrible..I'm not going back again...

Anyway, we went shopping after dinner...

We walked the whole taka but Brian didn't really fancy anything...

I suggested that he gets something for his mom, like electrical appliances or kitchenware etc...

In the end...

He got a fruit blender for her....

Why am I so happy?.....

I just checked my results for this semester...

and to my surprise...

I scored 3 distinctions.... (the highest grade is high distinction)

oh well...I expected my buyer behaviour (marketing module) to get a credit...so Im not really disappointed with that....but then again, I need only 1 more mark to get distinction...DAMN !!!....

Nevermind about that....I'm feeling very happy still.....

With such happy occasion for celebration last night...there's also another happy occasion to celebrate very soon.....

Cousin Germaine is going to have a baby girl....

she has already named her baby...the doctor estimated the delivery date to be on 26 Dec, hence the name Crisanta (go figure it out) ...

but she is too anxious to see the world I guess...so the baby will be due this week or the next..

We went over to see her today....

she showed me photos of the baby scans...I couldnt really see the baby though she specifically pointed out the baby's head and legs and eyes and ears....but I still couldnt see it...

looking at the baby scan is like trying to figure out an extract painting...haha

she has also bought baby clothes...

after we left her place, we went over to my aunt's place as well..

Cousin's Wedding Day

My cousin is getting married...

Had to wake up at freaking 6am this morning to go over to her place for tea ceremony...

the bridegroom came at around 730am and my cousin's 5 "jie meis" started the negotiation before letting him into the house...

the "jie meis" managed to get near $1k from him within 20 mins....impressive man...

the bridegroom brought the bride over to his family for tea ceremony first..in which they will then head over to their new home to change their wedding costumes and back to my cousin's house again for tea ceremony...

so we have to wait for nearly 3 hours for them to come back...

meanwhile, my sister and I got so bored...we played with the camera..

making funny faces...

and nicer shots..

I was walking around the house and saw this family portrait

the two on the left are the ones getting married..

At around 1130am...the bride and bridegroom came back....dressed in their traditional chinese wedding costumes..

there was buffet after the tea ceremony and everything ended at 1pm....

everyone went home to catch some sleep as there's still wedding banquet to attend later in the night...

it was to be held at Carlton Hotel...

me and sister were supposed to sit at the VIP table together with our parents...but we chose not to cause it is usually for the elders...we went over to sit with cousins instead...

VIP table is more special, with different color table clothe and door gift

A 9-course meal consisting of (no photos cause I was too busy eating) :
(1) Combination of suckling pig, roasted duck, BBQ pork, baby octopus and spring roll (my favourite)

(4) Steamed shrimps with cashew nuts
(5) Steamed fish in Hong Kong style
(6) Seasoned scallops with dried chilli
(7) Roasted crispy chicken
(8) Braised Ee-Fu noodles (puke)
(9) Red bean paste with lotus seeds and white lily

the food was not too bad overall....

I love the door gift though...

The movie didn't turned out to what I had expected...the trailer looked damn nice...but whole movie was quite disappointing..

Many newspaper articles have tried to inform people about the safety of their maids due to the increasing rate of maids falling out of the windows while cleaning...

apparently, whoever it is living opposite-above me obviously didn't educate their maid about it...

cause...these are what I saw while having lunch at home...

Yeah...it's a happy happy day...

I met up with Joey and Stella (my poly mates)

Havent seen the both of them for ages man...cause everytime we asked Stella out, she's always busy.....but surprisingly, she's the one who arranged for the meet-up today....

We met in town and decided to have dinner at Indochines..

I had pork chop rice and Joey had stewed beef...forgot to take a photo of what Stella had..but she had chicken noodles.....their food are quite yummy...

We really had a good time hanging out together...spent our time catching up, gossiping and bitching around...talked about relationships, work, our love for korean movies (they all love korean shows too....hee...!!), studies....blah blah blah.....it made me kinda miss poly days so much....i miss all the fun we had skipping classes just for mahjong sessions, shopping and lunch-ing in town......they were the ones and played a big part in making my poly life so fun and unforgettable....

It made me realized....how time flies....it's been 1.5 years since we graduated...sigh....i still miss poly days....

Anyway, it has been a great day....and im so happy to meet the girls...let's meet up more for our ktv and mahjong sessions okay?

Overall, I find the meal ok....didnt get to try every dish cause I had a few mouth of rice and I was full...

In fact, all of us only had 1 round of the buffet and we didnt even finish all of our food...we were just sitting around and gossiping...

June, elyn and lea were talking about a particular "cooking" game that got them addicted...I just couldnt stand the way they talked about how they were trying to cook their bread, egg, or noodle....

I was confused and laughing...June caught me candid...haha...

To the girls and John: it's so fun doing projects with all of you...you guys made yucky projects not so yucky... =)

What is love?

Technically...love is defined as a deep, tender, ineffable feeling of affection and solicitude toward a person...

But does anyone really know what love means?

Some would say that love is an intense emotional attachment to another person

Others would say that it is a kind of feeling...a feeling so special that words cant be used to describe it....

To me, love can come in many different forms..

Love is when both people are extremely happy together

Love is enjoying each other's company

Love is making each other laugh

Love is to be able to tolerate every little bad things about one another

Love is respecting

Love is having the ability to trust and committ

Love is being able to feel at ease when with him/her...making and doing things and is not afraid of being called silly or stupid

Love is being able to communicate with each other...keeping calm and talk things out

Love is when two feel as though they are living in their own world, away from others

Love is the 'special' someone who can give you happiness, fun and laughters

Love is knowing that your little angel is always by your side

Love is walking down the aisle hand-in-hand....building up a family....grow old and die

Above all, love is when saying "I Love You" and knowing that you truly mean it

Of course, these are my "perspectives" on love..

many would think otherwise..

there are no guidelines on how should love be..

it's just a matter of believing and follow what your heart says

I believe that finding one's true love is never easy

Looking for a true love who is also a soulmate is even more difficult

Hold onto the person if you believe you really found one

Though true love will never be a smooth journey

but love between each other will hold them strong and cast all fears

was contemplating whether to join Brian and his friends to go Zouk Mambo night

but i still went in the end..reached around 10 plus

it was totally a crazy night

Look at the crowd...it's freaking packed and the queue was freaking looonnnggg...it will take hours to get into Zouk

luckily, zen was there as well...hahaha...we cut queue cause he brought us in

i have to pay $20 as it wasnt ladies' night...it is the eve of public holiday...that explains the crowd man...

anyway, zouk underwent some renovation and it was my first time there since it reopened...

not much of a difference though the dancefloor has become blardy small...

somehow i still prefer the old Zouk

and she's doing this despite knowing that it's betraying all mankind

OoopPpss....i mean fish-kind..

but then, good things are meant to be shared right...

and so, I introduce the wery nice...

FISH head steamboat....located at Whampoa market

freshness of the fish meat, salted fish, veges and yam, all boiled together with the soup base...

the "end-result" taste of the soup is wery wery nice..but, be prepared to drink like 10 cups of water cause the soup is so salty that it will make you go thirsty

okay, 10 cups is just an exaggeration

it also comes with 4 side dishes to choose from...

recommended side dishes to choose are:

braised duck

preserved veg

the fishhead steamboat comes in 3 sizes:
(1) small - $18
(2) medium - $25
(3) large - $30-35 (cant remember)

Be prepared to wait 40 mins to 1 hour...and also, wear singlet and shorts there, it will only get hotter as you eat...

it's a call for celebration

exams are finally OVEEERRR....*jumps for joy*

we still have a major DPP presentation next friday...it will officially mark the end of semester after the presentation

but still, there's no reason why we shouldnt celebrate...my seafoodie buddies had already made plans to indulge in some cheesy fondue after our paper

we headed down to Suntec Swiss Culture...prawny junie was the one who recommended and brought us there the previous time...

we got a special hut to sit in..cause we are VIPs...haaa...

the cheese fondue at Swiss Culture is a must try...though the price is a little steep...fondue plus 3 side dishes and scallop cost around $90

clamy diane had to go off after the lunch cause she's sick...but before she left, we got to take a group photo...we have sorta invented a way to take group pic...WITHOUT asking people for help...

so how do we actually do it?

clamy and I will always be the one standing in front, with the rest behind....the people in front will have to do 2 things...one of them will hold the cam while the other will adjust the level of the cam and ensure that everyone fits into the screen...she will then move back into her position and

anyway, we watched "All about love"....its a show by Andy Lau and the other actress whose name i cant remember....quite a sad show.....kinda depicts the pain of losing someone

it somehow made me feel that life is always so fragil and full of uncertainties...the one you love could be forever gone before you realized that you have so much to say to him/her...and so, as the saying goes...

"Cherish those around you before it's too late"

this sentence will never fail to make sense....

was on my way to have dinner at holland village after shopping at F.O.S and got approached by a girl clad in thick winter wear...apparently, she was promoting the opening of new Eskibar opposite Wala Wala...

she was asking me to fill up a form when I saw another of her colleague standing right in front of me...smiling at me...

to actually think about it...maybe I should just stick to this sunny island..

wearing tanks and shorts is better than jeans and thick winter wear...

at least I know that I dont have to go walking around, looking as though I'm fat...

i think it's some MAC's marketing plan to make us wait so long

After dinner, I suggested going Changi Village to see transvestites but only managed to see only 3 tonight. As we really had nothing to do, we waited for a transvestite to get hitched...and we followed the car to see where they are actually heading to carry out their activity...haha...it was totally fun !!...

I had alot of fun these 2 days..

went into malaysia on friday early in the morning..

shopped till I almost fall flat

had japanese food and stuffed myself with sushi and salmon..

went ktv and sang my heart out

the 'waiters' at the ktv gave excellent service...i was walking back to my room from the toilet and thought it was room 18..the waiters saw me and quickly came over to usher me to room 22...i was surprised, they even remember the room im in...wow...where will you get that kind of service in singapore?

and so for saturday...i spent part of my afternoon studying

friends called me out later in the night

we decided to go malaysia for ktv session..again

it was totally crazy, we went in at 12 midnight but didnt go ktv-ing cause we realized it was quite ex..not worth it...

so we went for movies instead...

we watched Goal...im not really a soccer fan but this show is nice...go catch it !!
